Description
Registration must be renewed annually.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration renewal is the responsibility of each registered individual – the ACCBC does not send out renewal notices.
ACCBC will provide a counselor, within seven days of receiving an application electronically at office@accbc.org, the timeline for which application processing will occur. ACCBC will conduct a preliminary review of application materials upon initial receipt of the application and may notify the counselor of an incomplete status. Initial and preliminary reviews are not final and exhaustive. The purpose of the initial review is to respond to counselors more immediately if corrections are needed and to ensure that we are reviewing each application more than once.
Following the initial review within seven days, ACCBC will formally review applications with 45 calendar days. The 45-day review period begins from the date that the application was received. We do not anticipate taking this amount of time, however, regulations stipulate that we provide this time to you.
We DO NOT expedite applications, so please plan accordingly. Failure to submit a complete application will further delay the processing time of your application. Each application contains a checklist stating the documentation that is required for each application. It is critical that you abide by the checklist in order to ensure that your application is complete. All supporting documentation must be submitted with each application, regardless of an applicant having submitted it with prior applications.
If an application requires additional documentation and/or is incomplete, you will be notified by the ACCBC office two times within 45 calendar days (from the date the application was received by the ACCBC office) by email with the steps required to complete the application. An incomplete application will be held by our office for 90 calendar days from the date received by the ACCBC office. If an application remains incomplete beyond ninety 90 calendar days after date received by the ACCBC office, it will be voided, fees will be forfeited, and will require submission of a new application, documentation, and new fees. If an applicant submits additional documents during those 90 days, but the application continue to remain incomplete, the application will be voided after 90 days for remaining incomplete and a notice of denial will be sent.
It will be the applicant’s responsibility to provide all missing documentation before the application can be processed. Per regulations, counselors are expected to resolve incomplete applications within 30 days. Provided it has been more than 45 days since the application was first received by our office, we will review any materials resubmitted within 21 days, provided the application is still open and has been denied.
