Transfer Registration

Registration transfer is based on the expiration date of your registration with another California certification organization.  Registration transfers cannot be done sooner than five (5) months prior to expiration date.  Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 6 semester units of qualifying AOD counselor education completed since their last renewal date. Applicants with initial registration dates from July 1, 2025 onward will also need to demonstrate completion of CAADE-approved AB 2473 course pairings, which can be counted towards the six semester units required for renewal.  

Registration transfer will extend the current expiration date by one calendar year.
